Investing.com – Germany: Stocks ended the session higher on Thursday; growth in the , , and sectors contributed to this increase.
At the close in Frankfurt, the index was up 1.05%, while the index was up 0.94% and the index was up 1.86%.
The best performance of the session for the index is attributed to the title Zalando SE (ETR: ) was up 4.10% or 1.35 points to trade at 34.24 at the close. In the second position we find Sartorius AG Vz (ETR: ) which rose 4.06% or 14.50 points to close at 371.70. Title Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) completes this top three with a gain of 2.62% or 2.44 points to end the session at 95.40.
Mtu Aero Engines Holding AG (ETR: ) was the worst performer of the session, losing 0.29% or 0.60 points to trade at 204.40 at the close. Covestro AG (ETR: ) declined 0.16% or 0.06 points to end at 36.88. For its part, Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR: ) gained 0.09% or 0.03 points to trade at 29.39.
The best results of the MDAX index go to Evotec AG (ETR:) which gains 4.07% at a price of 15.59, Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR: ) rose 3.75% to 2.21 and TAG Immobilien AG (ETR:), which rose 3.57% to close at 6.10.
The worst performers were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR: ), which fell 3.25% to 7.85 at the close. Aurubis AG (ETR: ) which lost 1.34% to 78.16 and Commerzbank AG (ETR: ), down 0.72% to close at 8.82.
The best results of the TecDAX index go to Morphosis (ETR: ) which gains 10.37% to a price of 13.30, Evotec AG (ETR: ) up 4.07% to 15.59 and Sartorius AG Vz (ETR: ) which gains 4.06% to a close of 371.70.
The worst performing values are Vantage Towers AG (ETR: ) up 0.06% to close at 32.16, Hensoldt Ag (ETR: ), which rose 0.45% to 22.40 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR: ), up 0.58% to close at 17.30.
Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Frankfurt exchange by 510 values to 179 and 72 flat.
The index, which measures the implied volatility of options on the DAX index, lost 2.52% to 20.15.
On the other hand, gold for delivery in February rose 0.54% or 9.85 points to $1.00 per troy ounce. Among other commodities, Crude oil for delivery in February was down 1.19% or 0.94 points at $78.02 a barrel, while Brent for delivery in March lost 1.20% or 1.01 points at a price at $82.98 per barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.65% at 1.07, while EUR/GBP was flat 0.31% at 0.89.
The US Dollar Index fell 0.53% to 103.63.
